Conditions for a home battery

Do you have solar panels? Then you can borrow from the National Warmtefonds for a home battery. The main conditions are:

  • You submit a quote showing the brand and type of the home battery
  • You have the home battery connected by an installer (so not a plug&play battery)
  • The home battery is placed on your own property
  • You use the home battery only privately, not for business
  • You are the owner and resident of the house
  • You borrow a maximum of €8,500 for the home battery
  • You borrow a maximum of €28,000 for the combination of all measures together
  • The maximum term of an Energy Saving Loan for a home battery is 15 years (this does not apply if the amount for the home battery is less than one third of your total loan)
